Newforms Admin lands in Trunk :(

Just when I thought I finished learning about the the now “old” admin yesterday, the new one came out. :( . Talk about timing to learn a technology :S. I wonder how big the changes are.

Out of interest, was this an old application that you’re getting your head into or a new one? Reason I ask, I’m pretty sure that the Django documentation says that if you’re starting out fresh that you should be using newforms, not oldforms as oldforms is going to be deprecated very shortly. In any case, consider it valuable learning experience!

Well, this 1 is about the newforms admin branch (and now in trunk) which aims to integrate the Django admin site with newforms. 1 of its changes is way you define your admin options. Under the new approach the admin options is decoupled from the models. ;)

Look at this link for more information. Not much changes needed to migrate actually now that I look at it.
